Marlin Heritage Sailboat - Cape Cod Shipbuilding Company

Marlin Heritage Sailboat

The redesigned Cape Cod Marlin Heritage combines the best of Nathanael Herreshoff’s Fish and Marlin designs with a touch of modern amenities. Her classic hull shape below the waterline remains unchanged. The comfortable cockpit is slightly smaller than the original Fish allowing more cabin space. This is a return to the era of Herreshoff when simplicity was fundamental, boats were designed for performance, built with craftsmanship and pride, and remained strikingly beautiful.

Goldeneye Sailboat

The Goldeneye is an improved version of the Bull's Eye which provides a small cabin and self bailing cockpit. She offers many of the same sailing characteristics as the Bull's Eye with a longer waterline and high lead keel to length ratio. It's a wonderful boat for gunkholing and short overnight cruising for two people. She offers versatility from sailing with a reef in the main and a storm jib to sailing with a genoa and spinnaker. The Goldeneye has a big boat feel without the common cruising boat hassles.

The boat can be sailed by two people but in moderate or heavy wind conditions you will need the weight of four people on the rail. For casual day sailing she has plenty of room for 6 adults. Rhodes 18 Sailboat - Cape Cod Ship Building

Rhodes 18 Sailboat

The Rhodes 18 was originally designed as a centerboard boat, but is also offered in a keel version today. The centerboard model is a wonderful option if you sail in shallow waters. The keel model provides more stability and added cockpit space without the centerboard trunk. Both models sail quickly yet remain easy to maneuver. They have room for five adults but sail easily with two. The Rhodes 18 is an ideal family daysailer with her simple arrangement.

Mercury - Cape Cod Shipbuilding Company

Mercury

The Mercury can be built as either a centerboard or keel model. Because of her hull shape and high topsides the centerboard model has more of a keel boat feel than most centerboard boats. She can be easily launched and rigged at a ramp with the optional trailer. She glides through the water with ease. The keel model provides added stability and more cockpit space without the centerboard trunk. She can also be launched and rigged at a ramp but requires more water to float of the trailer. The seats in both versions create air tanks to keep the boat afloat when the cockpit is full of water. Used as a training boat by many sailing programs, the Mercury meets the need for novice and well seasoned sailors. She has cockpit space for five but can easily be sailed with two. The Mercury glides through the water with ease.
